TACTILE EDITIONS FOR ARTISTS

One original. More than two ways to experience it.

A tactile edition is not intended to replace your original or your giclée range. It creates a separate premium tier: a limited, numbered edition for collectors who want more of the physical life of the painting.

WHY OFFER A TACTILE EDITION

Extend a single masterwork into a controlled, collectible tier.

Sensory Works Art helps artists build a considered tactile edition programme around one painting, alongside originals and giclées, without disrupting either.

Revenue

New revenue tier

A tactile edition opens a distinct sales tier that sits between originals and giclées, reaching collectors who want more than print but less than an original.

Retain originals

Retain your originals

The original painting stays with you or its owner throughout; the edition is produced from a scan, not the physical piece itself.

Digital master

High-res digital master

Fine art scanning produces a high-resolution master file of your work, useful for archiving, licensing and future production.

Collector product

A unique collector product

Tactile production recreates surface texture and raised detail, giving collectors a physical object distinct from a standard print.

Consistency

Gallery or interior consistency

Editions can be produced to consistent size and finish specifications, supporting repeat placement across galleries or interior schemes.

Licensing control

Licensing control

You agree the edition model and terms upfront, keeping clear control over how and where your work is licensed and reproduced.

Every edition is assessed before production.

1. Share the artwork

Send details and images of the painting you are considering for a tactile edition.

2. Assess surface and scan suitability

We review the surface texture and confirm the artwork is suitable for high-resolution scanning.

3. Test tactile production

A production test confirms how texture and detail translate into the tactile edition.

4. Agree the edition model

We agree edition size, pricing and terms together before any production begins.

Tactile editions are "subject to artwork assessment, scan suitability, production testing and agreement of the edition model."

Thank you. We will review your submission and be in touch.

Submit your artwork for consideration.

Sensory Works will review the work, its surface, and the proposed edition direction before any production step begins.
