Questions before you commit an original.

Practical answers for artists, collection managers and heritage teams weighing up scanning.

  • How is my artwork handled during capture?
Your artwork receives careful intake and controlled handling appropriate to its size, medium and condition throughout the capture process.
  • Is every artwork suitable for scanning?
Suitability depends on size, surface condition, medium and intended output. We assess each piece before any commitment is made.
  • What files will I receive?
Deliverables are agreed in advance around your intended use, whether that is reproduction, archive, study or digital-surface application.
  • Can you scan work for tactile editions?
Capture can inform assessment for tactile reproduction, though production testing determines the final route for a given artwork.

Thank you. Sensory Works will review the artwork and intended use before recommending the appropriate capture approach.
